Terms of Use

Tau Meridian Partners (Pty) Ltd

Effective date: 7 August 2026

1. About these terms

These terms govern your use of tauholdings.com. By using this website you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

These terms govern use of the website only. They are not terms of sale and they do not govern the supply of any goods or services. Any supply of goods or services is governed by the quotation, order acknowledgement or written agreement applying to that supply.

2. Who we are

This website is operated by Tau Meridian Partners (Pty) Ltd, registration number 2021/801135/07, a private company incorporated in South Africa, with its registered address at 37 Farm JQ37 Kaalfontein, Magaliesburg, Krugersdorp, Gauteng, 1739.

You can contact us at info@taumeridian.co.za.

References on this website to the TAU Group describe a group of separate legal entities operating in South Africa, Zambia, Angola, Malawi, Namibia and the United Kingdom. Each is a distinct company. Nothing on this website makes any Group company liable for the obligations of another.

3. Changes to these terms and to the website

We may revise these terms at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page, and your continued use of the website after changes are published means you accept them.

We may also change, suspend or withdraw the website, or any part of it, without notice.

4. Access to the website

We do not guarantee that this website will be available uninterrupted or free of error. Access may be suspended for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

You are responsible for your own arrangements to access the website, and for keeping any login details confidential.

5. Acceptable use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • use it in any way that breaches any applicable law
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or to any server, computer or database connected to it
  • introduce viruses, malware or any other harmful code
  • attack it by means of a denial of service attack
  • systematically extract, scrape or reproduce content from it, whether for the purpose of building a database or otherwise
  • submit false, misleading or defamatory information through any form
  • impersonate any person, or misrepresent your association with any organisation

We may suspend access where these terms are breached, and we may report breaches to the relevant law enforcement authorities.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, images, layout, graphics, logos and the TAU name and marks, is owned by us or licensed to us, and is protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

You may view, download and print content from this website for your own internal business purposes, provided that you do not alter it and that you keep all proprietary notices intact. You may not otherwise reproduce, distribute, publish, adapt or commercially exploit any part of this website without our prior written consent.

Third party manufacturer names, brands and product marks appearing on this website remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Their appearance does not imply endorsement by, or authorised distributor status with, the brand owner unless we have expressly stated otherwise.

7. Product information and specifications

Product descriptions, specifications, dimensions, capacities, images and technical data on this website, and in any catalogue available for download from it, are indicative and provided for general guidance only. They are provided to help you identify a suitable product category. They are not a warranty of any particular characteristic.

Specifications and availability change without notice. Manufacturers alter designs, and stock varies by country. Images are illustrative, and the item supplied may differ in appearance.

Nothing on this website constitutes technical advice, an engineering recommendation, or a certification of fitness for a particular purpose or installation. The selection of equipment for a specific application, and compliance with the standards, regulations and site conditions applicable to it, remain your responsibility or that of your appointed professional. Where we provide technical advice, it will be given separately in writing and will be subject to its own terms.

If a particular characteristic matters to you, please confirm it with us in writing before ordering. Written confirmation given in a quotation or order acknowledgement prevails over anything on this website.

8. Our online assistant

This website includes an online assistant that uses artificial intelligence to answer questions about our products and services.

Responses generated by the assistant are automated and indicative only. They are produced by software, not by a member of our staff, and they may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. The assistant does not give technical advice, engineering recommendations or professional advice of any kind, and its responses must not be relied on for the selection, specification or installation of any product.

Nothing said by the assistant constitutes an offer, a quotation, a price, a commitment to supply, or a representation binding on us. Where a response from the assistant conflicts with information given to you in writing by a member of our staff, the written information prevails.

Please do not enter confidential or sensitive information into the assistant. Conversations are processed by third party service providers outside South Africa, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may change, suspend or withdraw the assistant at any time.

9. Enquiries, quotations and orders

Nothing on this website is an offer to sell. Prices, where shown, are indicative and exclude value added tax, delivery, duties and any other charges unless we state otherwise.

Submitting an enquiry or a request for a quotation does not create a contract. A quotation is an invitation to do business and is valid only for the period stated on it. A contract comes into existence only when we accept an order in writing.

10. Accreditations, certifications and client references

Where this website displays accreditations, registrations, certifications or standards, these relate to the specific Group entity that holds them, and not necessarily to every Group company.

Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment status is held by Tau Meridian Partners (Pty) Ltd and applies to that company only. Other Group entities are foreign companies and do not hold South African B-BBEE status. A current certificate or affidavit is available on request.

Where this website displays the name or mark of a client, supplier or utility, it indicates a business relationship. It does not imply endorsement of TAU by that organisation.

11. Links to other websites

This website links to websites operated by other Group companies and by third parties. We do not control those websites and we are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. Links are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, this website and its content are provided as they are and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from reliance on its content. This includes loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, loss of anticipated savings, loss of data, and any indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

13. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms or from your unlawful use of this website.

14. Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy, which form part of these terms.

15. Electronic communications

The Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 gives legal effect to electronic communications. Information you submit through this website, and communications we send you by email, satisfy any requirement that a communication be in writing.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from your use of this website, are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

This does not affect any mandatory rights you may have under the law of the country in which you reside.

17. General

Severability. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision.

Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding your use of this website.

Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another Group company or to a successor in title. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.
